2012 Pictures

There has been activity in the scrapyard which was the northern end of the Mayfield yard. All the scrap is bring removed and this also meant the demise of the stranded cars from the O&W. At the time these pictures were taken, all that was left was the wooden boxcar which I am sure will eventually be scrapped. The area is quite active and we were told to leave. I did manage to get some pictures before that happened.

2014 Pictures

Traveling down Main st we discovered a small section of the O&W where it crossed Main Ave next to Glenwood St. Most of the O&W has been developed and erased but a small section of it was found as it crossed Main Avenue in Mayfield.

July 2025 Update

The area where the scrapyard was has been cleaned out and is no longer posted. The only remains of the O&W are the two concrete call booths.

Drone video of the former scrapyard.

November 2025 Update

This area where the Mayfield yard was is now part of a trail. It has been extended a bit.
Very little remains here.
